Give thanks and give back: A time to give thanks and a time to give back to our readers by taking your questions!

Time to give thanks!

Welcome back readers!  In this post, I’d like to take the time to give my thanks and to give back to our readers for their support.  My wife and I have always believed in the power of showing gratitude, and this felt like the right time to do just that!

To start I’d like to quote a tidbit of one of my favorite ball players, the immortal Lou Gehrig of the NY Yankees:   “...today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth...”  This is one of my favorite speeches of all time.  It shows a man who would succumb to ALS disease in less than 3 years, showing gratitude even in those harrowing times.   His speech will forever be remembered for its message of courage, determination, and hope, which all of us can learn from...

When I started this blog (Wandering Money Pig), I had no idea who, besides few of my family members and friends, would read my blog.  The reason I started the blog was to share my two passions in life:  travel and money matters.  I wanted our nephews / nieces (and anyone else for that matter) to learn the basics of finance, so they can get a head start in their financial independence journey!

Little did I know, how my little pet project would be positively received by you, the readers.  I really thought I would get about 5 people to read my blog.  It was a pleasant surprise to see that this was bigger than that!

Knowing there is a definite audience out there for these two passions in my life, I will continue to write to the best of my ability!

At this time, I’d like to give my thanks to the following people/things:

  • Thank you our readers in the United States, who are spending their valuable time to read the blog.  It gives me motivation and encouragement to continue to write these posts when you read them.  For that, I thank you.
  • Thank you our readers abroad who are also spending their valuable time to read my blog!  I was totally shocked at how many international readers are out there!  From Turkey, France, South Korea, Japan, Israel, Singapore, China, Switzerland, Finland, Russia, Germany, Hungary, Peru, United Kingdom, India, Sweden, to Australia!
  • I’d like to thank my wife and our Toby, for keeping up with me throughout this journey.
  • I’d like to thank our family for understanding this unorthodox lifestyle.
  • We’re so grateful that we can live our lives the way we want to.
  • I’d like to thank our AirBNB host for stocking everything we needed (soap, garbage bags, extra towels, dish washing soap, etc.), for the past 3 months stay at Atlantic Beach, NC.

The other important part of this post is to give back, by asking our readers, if you have questions or comments you’d like to send my way.  I’d like to know what irks our readers when it comes to finance and/or travel, or what our readers are curious about.  I’ll answer best I can...

Mrs. Wandering Money Pig will be donating her paintings to an animal shelter as her way of giving back.  I figured I can do something myself...

If you are sending a question, please make sure you’re ok with me using your question in my future posts. I will not use your name in the posts, so don’t worry there.

Please email me at:  wanderingmoneypig@gmail.com

Thank you again for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you!
