Top scenic spots near Page, Arizona: Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell
Horseshoe Bend (Page, Arizona) Prior to our epic cross country road trip going from North Carolina to California during late November through early February, my wife and I had visited the state of Arizona on two separate occasions. Our first visit was to Grand Canyon National Park , while our second visit was to the city of Phoenix . In both of our visits, the weather was brutal (May and September), easily going over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of the extreme heat, we remember those times not for the fantastic places we had visited, but more for the constant assault on our bodies from extreme heat of the Arizona sun. Arizona can be really hot 8 months out of the year. Many locals we had spoken to during those visits constantly reminded us that the desert is at least not humid, like say the Deep South.
