We remember waiting about 20 minutes before we were seated at that Japanese restaurant, which was jam packed with diners.  We had some great memories of Myrtle Beach area thanks to excellent food and shopping centers sprawled all over the area.  *Back then, we loved shopping centers! Unlike many places we had visited, we never ran out of places to eat, shop, or do… These days, Myrtle Beach area is even busier, with more developments (commercial and residential) that seem to constantly change the landscape with each passing month.  The popularity of Myrtle Beach area as well as Horry County , which Myrtle Beach is part of, is well documented.   Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC Robert Kiyosaki:  “It’s not how much money you make, but how much money you keep, how hard it works for you, and how many generations you keep it for.” As my wife and I were working towards our journey to become financially independent and to retire early, I came upon many news articles and blogs asking the same question, “ How can I become a millionaire? ”  From this question, I started to research what it would take for me to become a millionaire as well.   The word ‘millionaire’ is something that is ingrained in all of us, especially growing up in the United States.  We see so many rich people living in big mansions, driving fancy cars, eating the best foods, wearing the best clothes/accessories, and going on exotic vacations in popular media.   Growing up, I heard the song entitled, “ If I had a million dollars… ” play over and over again in media, and still to this day, my wife and I would sing this song.  Wow, kudos to the power o

  Myrtle Beach, South Carolina  John F. Kennedy:  “We are tied to the ocean.  And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came.”   When I started to write about attractions in and around Myrtle Beach (South Carolina), I must admit I had a very hard time doing so.  The reason for this is because Myrtle Beach area has so many attractions to write about.  I could’ve written a mini book on all the attractions my pack (my wife, myself, and our Pomeranian) visited from December through February, but I decided against it as I didn’t think anyone would want to read a blog post that is 50 pages long!!!  Instead, I chose to break up the attractions into several posts.   One post (this one), would deal with places we like right around Myrtle Beach boardwalk area.  Another would deal with best places to shop.  These two posts would be on top of posts written about best parks near Myrtle Beach, as well as exploration of other cities like Conw
